The Triunfo Verde Co-op consists of several farms located in the “buffer zone” of the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve, located in the highlands of the Sierra Madre de Chiapas. This area is known as one of the world’s most diverse forest reserves, containing Mesoamerica’s largest continuous cloud forest and many thousands of plant and animal species. The members of the cooperative grow their shade-grown coffee in this protected refuge.

With over 346 members and many women producers (?), Triunfo Verde has been consistently growing and producing coffee with amazing cup quality year after year. They typically specialize with Bourbon and Typica varieties with an emphasis on exceptional microlots. Since this region is so close to the Guatemala border (specifically the Huehuetenango region), this coffee has some noticeable similarities to a washed Guatemala.

We taste notes of toffee, lemon, thyme, and sweet herbs in this coffee, great for a drinkable and balanced cup of coffee that you can drink all day!
